mynameisntjmack & Tommy Richman - “BUNKER/PREROLL”

Virginia natives mynameisntjmack & Tommy Richman join forces on their latest single “BUNKER/PREROLL.” This collaboration feels like two worlds colliding and realizing their abstract creative approach makes perfect matrimony. This song narrates those emotions of feeling lonely, despite being in a room full of people. On this track, mynameisntjmack enhances his delivery and hones in on his sharp expressions of life through witty imagery. His tonality illustrates an image of bliss towards his discomforts. Richman provides the right amount of energy to continue going against the grain and embracing those fears of feeling like an outcast. The hook texture is mesmerizing and the Bay Area-ish production is quintessential. The track was produced by long-time collaborator John Wehmeyer & Myles Sweeney. Last year, both mynameisntjmack & Tommy Richman released a bunch of singles and hopefully building up momentum for their next project. Keep your eyes and ears pierced!

Roann & Jordan Hawkins - “Heaven on Earth”

San Diego-based artist ROANN recently dropped her latest heartfelt single “Heaven on Earth” alongside Jordan Hawkins. Roann’s voice is nostalgic, nurturing, and sincere. On this song, Roann gracefully sings about loss and the bittersweet journey that comes along with it. The guitar solo at the end of the song speakers levels and captures the exact emotion Roann delivered. Two years ago, Roann released a couple of singles and we’re patiently waiting for what else is planned for this year.

Dana McCoy- “Garage Sale”

Maryland native singer-songwriter Dana McCoy returns with her latest single “Garage Sale.” Her voice is gentle ignites tranquility despite the difficult transition of moving on from someone you once loved. It’s not easy to end things with someone you once loved but, doing so may be better than pretending things are good. On this track, McCoy does not shy away from showing her vulnerability and allows her voice to guide listeners towards acceptance. Last year, McCoy released two singles “Night After Night” and “Is It Okay.” Sometime this year, she’s expected to drop her debut EP.

Diz- “Fair Weather”

Boston native Diz kicks off the year with his latest single “Fair Weather” produced by C! and OJC. Diz delivery hits to the core and the use of melodic repetition seeps through gracefully. The production provides the muse to Diz's conscious unpacking. As he raps about needing space, he welcomes listeners into his perspective towards reality and how it’s weighing on him despite his ability to smile through the pain. The song finds a sincere balance between lo-fi and slum hip hop. Last year, Diz released a project called ALL IN DUE TIME and the year before that Black Water. Our fingers are crossed for a 2022 project!

Xav the Ripper - “No Cry”

Chicago-based rapper & producer Xav the Ripper dropped his latest single “No Cry.”

With the use of underground drum patterns and precise word choice, Xav explains his current state of mind and triumphs of navigating through the music industry. Xav describes the track as being a “beacon of hope to those who feel unheard.” The sample-based track blends well with Xav’s bright inflections and delivery. Last year August, he dropped a project titled Once It’s Over and this year he’s getting his footing down for what’s to come next.
