THEGUUDS w/ Dani Offline, Troy IV, Wavy Bagels & Pangeaux

Dani Offline - “I Believe You”

Oakland, California singer-songwriter and producer Dani Offline returns with her latest single “I Believe You.” Her voice is angelic and superb over the ageless synth chords. On her latest single, Offline reflects on the disbelief her heart embraces when someone shows her affection. The vocal arrangements are placed with care and the percussion on the track is tranquil. The writing is metaphorical and filled with similes that demonstrate her infatuation with her lover. The harmonies at the end resemble the feeling of butterflies in your stomach, which we thought was pretty dope. This song was fully written and produced by Offline in her bedroom. In 2019, Offline released her debut project Water Signs, which truly highlights her writing and ability to guide productions through the use of her voice. Our eyes are glued to whatever Dani Offline has in the pipeline for the future.

Troy IV - “new to this”

Maryland native Troy IV returns with their latest single “new to this.” The production has a gracious balance between modern R&B and garage. The drums are unorthodox but IV’s soothing crooning creates a soulful atmosphere. His pacing mellows out the uptempo production. What’s cool about this song is, that it feels familiar however, IV’s voice displays a refreshing presence. He jumps out of different pockets while maintaining a tonality that suits as an instrument on his latest single. Earlier this year, Troy IV released two singles “Take it Easy” and “Just Friends.” We’re excited to hear what else he has planned for the future!

Wavy Bagels - “SLICE”

Queens NY artist Wavy Bagels recently dropped his single “SLICE,” which feels like the perfect song to play for folks who could appreciate lighthearted melodies and tongue-in-cheek writing that’ll make you feel youthful.

This track is such a vibe! Fully produced by the Queens native, Bagels’ does not shy away from experimenting with his vocals and using imagery to truly paint a picture behind his words. The “pizza pizza” lingering sample throughout the track ignites nostalgic memories if you are a 90s baby. The production sets the tone for Bagels’ to explore metaphors to fully get his creative perspective onto wax. Next month, Wavy Bagels is expected to drop his highly anticipated album BAVY. We’re excited to hear what else he’s been working on.

Pangeaux, Logan Sherrick and E The Profit - “CHOPSTICKS”

Newport, Kentucky artist Pangeaux joins forces with Logan Sherrick and E The Profit on their latest single “CHOPSTICKS.” Each artist brings a unique energy to the song, keeping a cohesive momentum throughout the song. The production provided by James Heaton is bright but laid back; feels like the perfect song to have in rotation while driving in your city as the sunsets. The kick drums are crisp and the background vocal samples provide character to the track. Before the bass arrives with the firmness of purpose, the airy synths layered against the light percussion create the perfect space for the trio to deliver on their creative promises. The hook sticks out for us; it’s catchy and has a nice infectious bounce. Last year, Pangeaux released a few singles, and were excited to see what he has in store for this year.
